Find the Reflected Source

Identify exactly what’s causing each reflection by looking at the subject’s glasses lens by lens, since the two sides can behave differently depending on the angle of the frame and the subject’s head position. Trace what’s actually visible in the reflection: the main light, a window, a bright wall, or even the camera and photographer positioned opposite the lighting angle. Do this by observing the glasses under the real lighting setup with the subject looking toward the camera, rather than guessing from where the light is aimed.

Adjust Light Position First

Because reflections follow the rule that the angle of incidence equals the angle of reflection, raising or lowering the main light, or moving it further to the side, changes the angle it reflects off the glasses without necessarily changing how it lights the face. Confirm the light is still flattering the face at its new position rather than solving the reflection by creating flat or unflattering lighting instead.
